The boys spent the better part of their summer evenings hanging in "da hood" with their new buddies Nate and Josh who live down the street. After dinner A.J. and Micah jump up from the table and run to the front door to stake out Nate and Josh's house. "They're home, Mommy! Can you call and see if they can come out and play, please, please, pleeeeaaaasssseeee, Moooommmyyyy!", A.J shouts. Then Micah chimes in, "We go oudide now Mommy?" Once we all finish dinner and get outside there is complete and utter chaos! Planes flying, RC cars racing under foot, Powerwheels crashing into each other and everything else, bikes and helmets everywhere. We block traffic sometimes while we move all the stuff out of the road. While the boys entertain each other I get to chat with Nate and Josh's mommy...and everyone is happy for a while. Until it gets dark and the bugs come out and we have to drag our boys kicking and screaming into the house only to start all over again the next day. "Mommy, Nate is outside!" "Mommy, Nate and Josh are driving their trucks around the block now!" "Mommy, Nate's garage is open!" "Mommy, is Nate already home from school?" And then there is Micah..."Mommy, we play Nate?" We are slightly concerned when we think about the trouble they will cause in "da hood" when they get older...but for now we are having tons of fun with the "boys in da hood."

looks like lots of fun! wish you were my neighbor!! but then we would get nothing done! we'd just sit out on the porch and yap all day!
Sorry Andrea, Jude needs to be MY neighbor....maybe you can live on one side and I can live on the other.
hmmm...Judy, you keep scaring me with all these boy posts. Your making me think having two boys is going to be quite the wild ride!!!
