The Christmas Season Has Begun!

Somehow...between sick children and hosting the Thanksgiving dinner...I failed to take a single picture of our Thanksgiving holiday. How could I let that happen? I'm very disappointed with myself...but I won't let it happen again.

We've spent the weekend getting organized for Christmas....the most wonderful time of the year!! Friday morning, bright and early (by early I mean 4 a.m.) Andrea, Jo, and I headed out to Wal-Mart to take advantage of the door buster sales. What an experience that was! We waited in a long line just to get into the store; there were security guards at the doors letting small groups of people in at a time to avoid a stampede. Sometimes, when the doors would open we could hear screaming at the front of the line when people ran into the store. It was a rush! We'll definitely do it again next year! We got a good head start on our shopping and saved a lot of money.

On Saturday we decorated our Christmas tree. I let A.J. help me this year and resisted the urge to move all the ornaments that he hung to what I would consider to be "a better spot". He had fun taking out all of his ornaments and putting them on the tree.

On Sunday Aaron set up his train under the tree. This has become one of our favorite traditions. A.J. and Micah have fun driving and watching the train. I am so excited for this Christmas season...now if we could all just stay healthy....

That's so nice of Aaron to let the boys play with his toy trains.

I said this to Andrea...and I'll say it to you: CRAZY LADIES! I was just reading in the paper today that an employee at a Walmart was trampled to death during a stampede of 2,000 people on Black Friday!!! I'm certainly glad there was no stampeding at our Walmart! You three are quite the brave souls.
We haven't done our tree yet...Patrick insists on waiting till the 6th. That's okay though...I still have a find a space in our house that I can clear to put it.

It takes a lot of will power not to move the ornaments from where the kids put them to better spots. You're a stronger women than i...
