Yesterday A.J. and Daddy entered a race car in the AWANA Grand Prix. We were a little last minute (as usual) in making it as the race was Saturday morning and we started building the car at 7 p.m. on Friday night....but it was a fun time all the same. Papa opened up his wood shop and all the boys worked on the car. (Ok, maybe not Micah so much but he still had fun poking around in all Papa's tools and stuff.)
And wouldn't you know, A.J. brought home a 4th place trophy for speed out of 22 cars entered in the race. He was so excited to get a trophy similar to the one that Daddy got for winning the Pinewood Derby when he was a kid.Congratulations A.J. and thank you Daddy and Papa for helping out.

Wow!! 4th place is awesome for a last minute car! But I guess that can be expected with Aaron and Dad "helping" AJ make it.

Spencer wanted to do the grand prix soooo bad but Carl is out of town so we said maybe next year. Very cool car and great job on the race! Annual event for the Ranks?
