Survival Mode

Ok, so it's been a while since my last post. Well...I've been in what I like to call survival mode. Doing only the bare minimum in order to get by. I had the worst sinus infection I have ever had lasting nearly five weeks with two rounds of antibiotics. I am finally better!! I can smell and taste again. I live with all boys so there were some smells that I didn't miss...but anyway.... I can hear again and my ears don't pop when I swallow. I don't wake up every morning with a crusty nose. I don't feel like I want to spend every spare moment on the couch. Life is good!

I have to wonder though...why was I sick for so long? Did it have anything to do with the fact that just days before I got sick Aaron and I went to the alter after a Sunday morning sermon and made a life-changing commitment to be obedient to the Lord and move forward with something we both feel called to do? (You can be sure this will be the topic of a future post.) Was it a test to see if we really meant business when we made that commitment? Or was it a distraction of the enemy trying to throw us off course. Anyway...after spending 5 weeks on the couch...these are the kinds or questions going through my head.

So my blog is now officially back up and running. I've got lots to talk about so stay tuned!

Glad to see you back to "NORMAL"... maybe it's not such a good thing that you are able to smell again, being that you are married to Aaron and all.
