A room with a view....

There comes a time in every mom's life when she really NEEDS privacy. Especially when two inquisitive boys are wandering the house. This is the view of my bathroom....

....FROM THE SPACE WHERE MY DOOR KNOB SHOULD BE!

You know that saying, "the shoemakers children always go barefoot"? Well the same is true for the contractor's house...it's never done. I've been patient for the last...I don't know....FOUR YEARS! It wasn't a big deal when the kids couldn't walk, or talk, or ask questions. But times have changed!! A.J. now knows not to open the door without knocking first. But Micah, on the other hand, if he hasn't seen me in the last 30 seconds he comes looking...and when he finds me he just swings the door right open. And there I am...helpless...begging him to "close the door and give Mommy some privacy". To which he whines...."nooooo moooommmmyyyy".

So this is my plea...my cry for help...please Honey...I'm a simple girl...I'm not asking for a new house, a new car, or a diamond ring (not this time anyway). I'm just simply asking for my door knob...pretty please....preferably one with a lock.

Amen sista! Oh I feel your pain...the house is NEVER done and it's usually those simple "doorknob" jobs that take years and years to complete. I hope you get your doorknob soon...and we should compare notes someday...haha!

I have found that doing it myself is the way to go....or asking Dad.

Aaron is a really BUSY man! I have learned that if you just leave the door open it CAN be quite...less yelling and door banging. Also, though inconvient, pee sitting down, there are fewer questions from the lady folk!

He'd probably finish if you hired him to do so!

Too funny! I'm with Joh', though. You might just have to take a trip to Home Depot yourself.
